Small, Intimate and Perfect

Monica and Kat wanted to have an intimate wedding with the people they hold near and dear in attendance. So how did Pink Monkey take a small wedding and give it that extra special touch? This wedding was about the love between two special and unique women, so we here at Pink Monkey honed in on the little details that really represented them. The couple wanted a simple intimate wedding in October that had antique and romantic aspects. Their ceremony took place outside by the Gapstow Bridge in Central Park  officiated by Reverend Samora who with the couple designed a ceremony that was intimate and specific to them. Jayd Gardina captured the true love of this couple from the ceremony to them walking through the park to dinner. The day ended with a small intimate dinner at the Loeb Boathouse. Since it was a daytime affair, the wedding held a lot of day light, so we wanted to capture the crisp colors. To give it a little zest, we coordinated rich hues of burgundy, violet and two-toned colors of green and kept it in their fall theme. We used these colors in the flowers and added rustic and romantic elements such as an antique gold candelabra with dark flowers on top as their centerpiece. The little details throughout this wedding is what gave this affair that special spark. Pink Monkey Events added a set of love birds and matching feathers into the centerpiece to give it texture. We even surprised the modest bride by making her bouquet as well! We used lighter shades of purple and added ivory to show the contrast in her bouquet. They were so thrilled to have such a beautiful fall day, and to be married to each other with their closest friends nearby.
