Vintage New York Winter Wedding
We cannot say enough about, our fun and stylish couple Gillian and Michael. They knew what they wanted and were so great expressing to us what they were looking for. They wanted to create their New York Winter Wedding with a flair of vintage. They took an old vintage-style taxi cab from the church to the wedding reception in lieu of the traditional limo for the couple. Gillian and Michael had chosen the Manhattan Penthouse and it certainly set the stage for a New York wedding with views from the windows that are just stunning. There were many little details throughout the wedding that made some big impressions. Little details from the fur stalls that her bridesmaids wore to the vintage keys that were elegantly hanging from a huge wrought iron gate for guests to collect their escort cards on as they arrived. Pink Monkey Events was there from start to finish, coordinating all and any details that they wanted. To give Michael and Gillian's space an extra touch of something special we made some charming vintage blues club pictures in silver and black frames to use as their table numbers. In addition to the classy vintage vibe, Cress Floral created some beautiful floral arrangements to highlight the couple's purple and silver color scheme. The end is never the end, as you cannot forget the wedding cake and desserts which were simply as yummy as they were beautiful. At the end of the night each guest received a mason jar with a homemade peppermint hot chocolate in a silver bag with a silver snow flake ornament. It was a beautiful, magical night that was so beautifully captured by Carla Ten Eyck! Enjoy the highlight reel of Gillian and Michael's big day brought to you by 15 Minutes of Fame.

Sparkly Bat Mitzvah
One of our favorite events, where we really got our creative juices flowing was Sydney's Bat Mitzvah! There's nothing more fun than hot pink and zebra stripes covered in everything and anything that sparkles. With that said, Pink Monkey Events took these staple items from Sydney's vision and transformed it into a classy and chic bat mitzvah party perfect for this special girl who was turning into an adult. Pink Monkey Events proudly worked with Sydney and her parents for two years to create a party fit for a pop star at the coveted Arena. Catering to the specifications of our client, there wasn't a single detail that wasn't adorned in pink or zebra stripes. The night began with karaoke in the kids lounge while parents gathered in the "Adults" space upstairs. Jason from Generation Events was on a role and as the room filled up with people moving to the beat of "It's a Barbie World", Sydney made her grand entrance in the most unheard of carriage ever- a zebra chair shaped like a STILLETO carried by two dancers! Talk about making a statement! You have to admit, the girl has style! Our Pink Monkeys here had a blast designing this event from custom monogrammed pillows and lounge furniture that featured her slogan "Pump It Up" to customized shoes for each guest to take home as favors. We were so excited for this event that we went shopping for real zebra striped and hot pink stilettos where we painted the bottoms and added an "S" (for Sydney) to use as centerpiece vases. Little touches like filling the centerpieces with hot pink feathers and flowers, decorating the candy arrangements with matching ribbon and stuffing really helped pull everything into the overriding theme. With hot pink boas and zebra striped candles everywhere, Jayd Gardina Photography captured all the colors and vibrancy of Sydney's Bat Mitzvah making it the place to be and we were so proud to see Sydney turn into a beautiful young lady that day!

Traditional Wedding with an Indian Flair
We cannot say enough about this special couple. They are such amazing and colorful people that it showed throughout their wedding. Carolyn and Ravi had chosen the Central Park Boat House for the venue of ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception. Even though it had rained in the morning, that did not stop this from being a beautiful October day in the Park! The combination of cultures was brought to life through the design of the wedding, exactly what Carolyn and Ravi wanted. A traditional ceremony was followed by an Indian infused reception. From entertainment to the cake topper, Pink Monkey made sure to keep the vision of the bride and groom’s special day in mind. Table seating cards were held by miniature gold elephants, which represent perfect wisdom in the Indian culture. The bridesmaids wore black dresses which we had brightened up by adding a colorful sash and bouquet to match to each bridesmaid. The cocktail hour music was performed by Sitar and Table musicians which was such a different and amazing fun touch. At dinner the couple wanted to keep it simple and classic. The simplicity of the white and gold palette really went well in the already beautiful setting of the Central Park Boathouse. During the dinner a surprise performance by Bollywood dancers entertained the guests which was such an exciting treat. It was the perfect combination for a perfect couple!

Small, Intimate and Perfect
Monica and Kat wanted to have an intimate wedding with the people they hold near and dear in attendance. So how did Pink Monkey take a small wedding and give it that extra special touch? This wedding was about the love between two special and unique women, so we here at Pink Monkey honed in on the little details that really represented them. The couple wanted a simple intimate wedding in October that had antique and romantic aspects. Their ceremony took place outside by the Gapstow Bridge in Central Park officiated by Reverend Samora who with the couple designed a ceremony that was intimate and specific to them. Jayd Gardina captured the true love of this couple from the ceremony to them walking through the park to dinner. The day ended with a small intimate dinner at the Loeb Boathouse. Since it was a daytime affair, the wedding held a lot of day light, so we wanted to capture the crisp colors. To give it a little zest, we coordinated rich hues of burgundy, violet and two-toned colors of green and kept it in their fall theme. We used these colors in the flowers and added rustic and romantic elements such as an antique gold candelabra with dark flowers on top as their centerpiece. The little details throughout this wedding is what gave this affair that special spark. Pink Monkey Events added a set of love birds and matching feathers into the centerpiece to give it texture. We even surprised the modest bride by making her bouquet as well! We used lighter shades of purple and added ivory to show the contrast in her bouquet. They were so thrilled to have such a beautiful fall day, and to be married to each other with their closest friends nearby.

Pink Monkey Goes Global!
Well we didn’t technically get to go to Japan but we were featured in Elle Japan! Pink Monkey Events owner, Michelle, had the honor of being interviewed and featured in a spread for the coveted magazine. The magazine mentions...
“Michelle Tuccillo, the capable wedding planner who chairs the wedding
planning company Pink Monkey Events. Every day, she bustles about New York
City as she responds to her clients' requests. Michelle's reputation is for
producing weddings (of course), but also all parties and events with great
style and sense.”
This feature was such a big deal for us because not only does it expand our
business but we learned so much about the Japanese culture we didn’t know
before! We learned that they love American trends for weddings and are
pretty up to date with them as well. Pink Monkey Events prides itself as
being an event planning company that caters to all cultures so the feature
in Elle Japan was a perfect fit!
